Individuals

Students must complete an application form to be considered for a scholarship or loan. Supplemental information in the form of attachments also is required. Fewer attachments are needed from applicants whom the Foundation previously has funded. All application materials must arrive at the Foundation no later than June 1.

Financial Aid. Applicants who have requested financial aid from other sources must attach those applications. Applicants who have not requested financial aid from other sources are required to attach a written explanation why they are seeking the Foundation’s assistance.

Essay. First-time applicants must attach a 500-word essay addressing the following topic: “How this educational experience will benefit me as a person and how I see myself in 10 years.” Applicants should be sure that their name is on their essay.

Recommendations. Two letters of recommendation are requred from individuals who know the applicant well. One letter must be from a current teacher, guidance counselor, principal, head of school, or dean. Applicants whom the Foudation previously has funded are required to attach a single application from a professor.

Scholastic achievement. All applicants must attach a transcript of courses and grades to date. College entry-level applicants need to include their SAT scores.

Make sure the application is complete and includes all required attachments. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
